LISTEN TO THE EPISODE:

The first few months – and possibly years – in a new country bring with them difficult moments, and times when it seems easier to just return home. So what drives you to stay, to make the decision to push on? For Sindy from Hong Kong, it was two things: painful social moments brought about by not being able to speak German, and remembering what she gave up to move to Germany in the first place.

In our interview, she discusses motivation, learning German,  and adapting to German culture.

Sindy also has a blog where she documents her knowledge and experiences of life in Germany: My Life In Germany
